About Me
I produce events and coordinate projects; such as workshops aimed at providing access to skills and knowledge for those who identify as FLINTAQ (femme, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, asexual, queer), migrant, or persons of color; club nights and concerts, as well as a radio show on TRNSTN Radio in Fribourg. I offer event management or hosting, project management and awareness consulting, implementing innovative practices and infrastructure to provide safer spaces and diverse cultural experiences. I welcome projects which fit my overall social and political goals.
I am part of a movement of politically active creatives in Zurich who fight for the integration of diverse communities into cultural positions of recognition and respect. We share a commitment to providing safer spaces, diversity of cultural programming, financial opportunities, and empowerment for those with whom we are in solidarity. We recognize the urgent need to take refuge in spaces for those dominated by racism, sexism, misogyny, trans hostility, xenophobia, ableism, and classism.
Each of my projects is focused on driving sustainable cultural change by shifting paradigms of behavior in nightlife settings - in particular, providing resources within club contexts that ensure the safety of those who are most vulnerable to social, physical, or emotional harm. Racism, sexual harassment or assault, trans hostility or violence, or class or migration based discrimination which occurs in a nightlife setting is a highly politically charged and relevant moment. These experiences have the capacity to traumatize and harm, to alienate and humiliate, demonstrating and manifesting extraordinarily dangerous attitudes and behaviors. In my view it is the moral responsibility of institutions and venues to protect their guests from these experiences, to the best of their ability. However, it remains a challenge for many venues and institutions to implement the changes necessary to prevent these potentially life altering experiences from taking place.
Fundamentally, my work is defined by dedication to providing safer alternatives for enjoying cultural experiences and connections; to providing knowledge, skills, and resources, as well as visibility and respect in the hopes of making FLINTAQ, POC, and migrants less vulnerable to social domination. Through various events and cultural projects, I seek opportunities to build sustainable social as well as financial support for communities I care about. I build teams to suit the needs of each project, and strive to compensate all who contribute their labor, knowledge, and skills. I welcome inquiries exploring collaborative opportunities. I offer various consulting services such as, project management, event hosting and coordination, awareness strategy, human resources, communications and promotional support.
